Armenian Educational & Research Group soccer program is an exciting, non-competitive opportunity for your child to learn the great game of soccer while developing physically, socially, and mentally! Our classes are fast-paced, energy-burning, and fun to watch. Children will grow in their confidence as an individual and as an athlete. The advanced program will emphasize ball work and scrimmaging in a fun, energetic atmosphere.
Our innovative curriculum extends beyond physical activity to incorporate values like respect, sharing, teamwork, encouragement and cooperation. The enhancement of a child’s coordination, balance and agility is often seen immediately, but it is the building blocks being created for a lifelong love of sports that have the strongest impact.
In each class, we focus on having fun while guiding children through imaginative games that teach basic soccer skills. Our coaches are energetic and enthusiastic, are great teachers, and love working with children.
Children benefit with increased psychomotor development through fun fitness activities. Soccer encourages the development of active lifestyle habits at an early age.
From a physical standpoint, soccer offers one of the best ways, if not the best way, for a child to get in top physical shape through participation in a youth sport. Playing soccer improves flexibility and body composition.
In addition to these physical benefits, soccer player should experience a heightened sense of self-confidence and increased social skills. Playing on a team with other players forces the child to interact in ways he/she wouldn’t learn at school. To win as a team, they must play as a team!
Even though, as a parent, you may be worried about your child finding time for schoolwork when he or she is also going to soccer practice or games, studies have shown that children who play competitive sports generally also perform at an above-average level in school.
There are many other benefits from playing a team sport like soccer. For example it:
- teaches coordination
- promotes teamwork and sharing
- teaches to ‘think on the run’
- helps to increase skills in concentration, persistence and self-discipline
- is a great way to meet people and exercise with friends
- can provide an opportunity to increase your confidence
- is relatively easy to learn, so beginners can easily join in the fun and play basic soccer for recreation
- is an international sport.
